Questions

Is Plinth really free?

Yes. Plinth AI is built in and free to use, with no sign-in. You can also connect your own API key if you want.

What kind of apps can it build?

Web apps made with React and Tailwind: trackers, menus, booking pages, quizzes, portfolios, tools. They run in the live preview on your phone and can be published to a link.

Do I need a computer?

No. You describe, build, preview, change and publish everything from your Android phone.

What if I close the app mid-build?

The build keeps running in the background with a progress notification, and Plinth tells you when it’s ready. If Android stops the app anyway, the build resumes the next time you open it. A “Force stop” from Settings stops any app, and some phones need Battery set to “No restrictions” for Plinth.

Where are my API keys stored?

Encrypted on your phone. Plinth asks for a key only when your app needs one. Keep in mind that a key used inside a published website can be seen by visitors of that site.

Why does Android warn me when installing?

Android shows that warning for any app installed from outside the Play Store. Allow the install for your browser or file manager, then open the file again. You can check the file against the SHA-256 above.

How do I report a bad AI answer?
